  <title><![CDATA[Linthicum Gives His First in a Series of Talks at SFI]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Up first in a series of both live and virtual upcoming environmental programs, Dr. Kent Linthicum will be giving a talk at the South Fulton Institute for Art, Culture, and the Environment. His talk consideres historical environmental justice efforts and how it has been portrayed in popular media. Octavia Butler&rsquo;s <em>Parable of the Sower</em>, N.K. Jemisin&rsquo;s <em>Broken Earth</em> Trilogy, the <em>Game of Thrones</em> series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, <em>Battlefield 2042</em>, <em>Civilization 6</em>, and other media are part of Linthicum&#39;s case studies.</p>
