His talk consideres historical environmental justice efforts and how it has been portrayed in popular media. Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Sower, N.K. Jemisin’s Broken Earth Trilogy, the Game of Thrones series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Battlefield 2042, Civilization 6, and other media are part of Linthicum's case studies.
