  <title><![CDATA[General Breedlove Gives Firsthand Account of 9/11 from the Pentagon]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>General Philip Breedlove is a Distinguished Professor at the Nunn School and&nbsp;a&nbsp;<a href="https://cets.gatech.edu">Center for European and Transatlantic Studies (CETS)</a> Senior Fellow.&nbsp;He previously served as NATO&rsquo;s Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the&nbsp;Commander of&nbsp;US European Command&nbsp;before retiring.&nbsp;On September 9, 2021, General Breedlove gave his powerful personal account of what happened on September 11, 2001.&nbsp;The former Georgia Tech student and ROTC cadet&nbsp;described how in 2001,&nbsp;he&nbsp;was the chief aide to the top official in the Air Force, Jim Roche. Breedlove described how as he was working in his office&nbsp;the&nbsp;morning&nbsp;of September 11th, members of his staff&nbsp;urged him to turn on the television, saying there had been an accident in New York City.
