While doing research for the book seven years ago, Smith knew Saxon was still alive but was having trouble tracking him down.\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EBy pure coincidence, Smith was flying to a friend\u0026rsquo;s wedding in Detroit and was sitting at a gate at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport when he saw a man in a wheelchair wearing a glistening ring with \u0026ldquo;ALI\u0026rdquo; embossed on it.
