Any nice day is a great day to spend in Piedmont Park (throwing a frisbee, riding a bike, walking, running or laying in the grass and pretending it’s sand). Historic Oakland Cemetery is open to the public for wandering or offers guided walking tours priced at $5 for students. Or, there’s always the water slide at the CRC to make you feel like a kid at a Florida resort.

Any of the following activities will help you decompress post-midterms and enjoy your week off. Whatever you choose to do, Georgia Tech hopes all its students enjoy a safe and fun spring break!

Friday, March 18:

• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) @ Plaza Theatre, midnight – $7.50 for students (also Saturday, March 19, at 3 p.m.). Enjoy this old classic film at an old classic theatre.
• Jazz at the High @ High Museum, 5-10 p.m. – $5 for students. Change it up from the usual offerings of your laptop speakers.
• GT Baseball v. N.C. State @ Russ Chandler Stadium, 7 p.m. – Free. Support student athletes who don't get the same time off, and be part of the Road Trip to a Safe Spring Break.

Saturday, March 19:

• Demetri Martin @ Tabernacle, 8 p.m. – $47. If you need a laugh and have a few bucks to spare, Demetri’s simple (and sometimes math-related) comedy will lift your spirits.
• Wren’s Nest Tour, 10 a.m. – Free (also Sunday, 1 p.m.). Tour the home of Uncle Remus author Joel Chandler Harris for free as part of this month’s Phoenix Flies events.
• Six Flags Over Georgia opening day – $50. Tickets are buy-one-get-one online, so get a friend to relive your high school summer days and the price comes down to $25.

Sunday, March 20:

• GT Baseball v. N.C. State @ Russ Chandler Stadium, 1 p.m. – Free. After the game,  baseball players will shave their heads for St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Make your own donation online.
• Ramblin’ On t-shirt design contest deadline – Free. Submit a t-shirt design for this event held for all students graduating during 2011.
• Publix Georgia Marathon: volunteer on campus – Free. Volunteer at the Tech hydration station, winner of Best Hydration Station the past two years!

Monday, March 21:

• Trivia @ Mellow Mushroom Midtown, 8 p.m. In case you just don’t want to give your brain a rest.
• "Seinfeld" Trivia @ Tin Roof Cantina, 8 p.m. Trivia about nothing.

Tuesday, March 22:

• GT Baseball v. UGA @ Foley Field, Athens, 7 p.m. – $5. With UGA students back from spring break, Athens will be in full swing; the cheap food prices and female population will make up for the gas it takes to get there.
• Hawks v. Bulls @ Philips Arena, 8 p.m. – from $12. Always a spirited NBA match-up; enjoy it from Atlanta’s home court.
• Georgia Rides to the Capitol – Free; donations encouraged. Bike to the Capitol from Decatur in support of bill HB 180.

Wednesday, March 23:

• Atlanta Hawks v. Philadelphia 76ers, 7 p.m. – Take a walk to Taco Mac Midtown or Hudson Grille to watch the Hawks on the road.

Thursday, March 24:

• Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Schubert & Sibelius, 8 p.m. – $27 with promo code MARCH, free with Woodruff Student Pass (also Saturday, March 26, 8 p.m.). Enjoy an upscale evening at a discounted price.
• Pi Mile – Free. Take a jog on this campus trail, and get ready for the Pi Mile race on April 16.

Friday, March 25:

• Atlanta Thrashers v. Vancouver Canucks @ Philips Arena, 7:30 p.m. – from $10. It may be spring, but there’s still ice on some nights in Philips.

Saturday, March 26:

• Baconfest @ Dad’s Garage, 1 p.m. – $25 presale/$35 door. If you like bacon, bands and festivities; take MARTA to save on parking.
• Kollaboration Atlanta @ Center Stage, 8 p.m. – $15 presale/$20 door. Performances by Asian Americans including musicians, dancers, comedians, spoken word artists and magicians.
• Atlanta Hawks v. New Jersey Nets @ Philips Arena, 7 p.m. – from $11. In case you missed the Bulls game or hope for a glimpse of Pauly D.

Sunday, March 27:

• Mrs. Buttersworth’s Family Breakfast Ball @ Piedmont Park, Magnolia Hall (by tennis courts), 9:30 a.m. – Join Mrs. Butterworth for a free pancake breakfast – one last meal out before your return to the dining halls.
