Our course included segments on how electricity is generated, where it goes, what it costs, its environmental impact, and how it might be brought to more of the world's 1.3 billion people without electricity. Student teams constructed small scale energy generation devices and measured electricity production while comparing pros and cons among wind, solar, and fossil fuel technologies. The week concluded with presentations of team projects to instructors and parents.
