Classic adaptive optics hardware will be modified and augmented with advanced post-acquisition processing techniques to recover imagery. A core algorithm will be developed to jointly estimate the original source image and isoplanatic atmospheric distortion that will then be extended for spatially-variant, anisoplanatic distortions.
