What made you choose this program and\u0026nbsp;what factors drew you in?\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe MSEEM Program drew me in because of my undergraduate degree in Economics since The School of Public Policy houses Econ at Tech I wanted to build on my initial interests and skills. I was also interested\u0026nbsp;in pursuing a Masters with a sustainability-focused curriculum, my career and passions are based in environmentalism, but not my previous academic pursuits.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EYou also work at Georgia Tech. What is your role and does your degree assist you in your job at all?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u200bI am the Campus Recycling Coordinator for the Office of Solid Waste Management \u0026amp; Recycling, which is a part of Sustainability, Facilities and Safety. So far, the MSEEM program has allowed me to dive deeper in research about recycling programs and legislation in Georgia \u0026amp; the US, as well as, learning new data analytics and visualization skills.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EYou are doing your degree part time as you work. What advice would you give to other working graduate students?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u200bMy main advice would be to manage your time. I am a huge list maker and planning out my work and school tasks and getting to check things off, keeps me motivated. Being a part-time student can also be further isolating with the amount of duties to fulfill but taking the time to get to know other students to work together is very beneficial.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EWhat has been your biggest take away or your favorite part of Georgia Tech and of the MSEEM program?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u200bI am lucky to have the unique perspective of also working at Tech, and I enjoy most is seeing the work around sustainability being done in and outside of the classroom. My favorite part of the MSEEM program has been the variety of course offerings.\u0026nbsp;I have taken policy, city planning, econ and data classes all taught by expert professors.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDo you feel that Covid-19 impacted your student experience? In what ways?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u200bThe largest impact of Covid-19 has been not being able to connect as easily with other students. I am lucky that through class projects and safe meet-ups I have gotten to know many great people! I am excited to experience a more traditional course offering this fall.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Brodzik is both a part-time graduate student and a full-time employee of Georgia Tech.
