Amir Aghdaei, president of Tektronix, will visit the\nGeorgia Tech campus to discuss how the engineer\u2019s job is impacted by the\ntechnology trends driving our industry today. He will also share his view about\nthe importance of technology and innovation to address the acceleration of\nthose trends in the future. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESpeaker Bio\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;Amir\nAghdaei was appointed president of Tektronix in May 2009. He joined Danaher,\nthe parent company of Tektronix, in October 2008 and completed immersion\nlearning about the company culture and the Danaher Business System. Mr. Aghdaei\nhas more than 20 years of experience in the test and measurement\nindustry.\u0026nbsp;Prior to joining Danaher, he was with\u0026nbsp;HP\/Agilent and held a\nvariety of positions in life science and\u0026nbsp;test\/measurement\nbusinesses.\u0026nbsp;During his tenure with HP\/Agilent, Mr. Aghdaei lived in\nPennsylvania, Germany, Holland, Colorado, and Singapore.\u0026nbsp;His last\nposition\u0026nbsp;at Agilent was as the general manager\/vice president of the\nMeasurement Systems Division. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003EMost\nrecently, Mr. Aghdaei worked at Credence\u0026nbsp;as the senior vice president of sales\nand marketing in California.\u0026nbsp;He was accountable for developing Credence\u2019s\nshort- and long-term strategy, refining\/repositioning the company\u0027s product\nportfolio, and developing\/executing its worldwide channel strategy.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003EMr.\nAghdaei earned an M.B.A. from the University of Delaware, master\u2019s of science\nfrom Georgia State University, and a bachelor\u2019s of science degree in industrial\nengineering from the University of Iran.\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EAmir Aghdaei, president of Tektronix, will deliver the James R.
