Andre Vasi

Andre Vasi (they/them/theirs) is a second-year Masters of Public Health (MPH) candidate in health policy and management at Georgia State Universitys School of Public Health, and is a current Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Health Policy Center. They also serve on the Community Advisory Board of a research project in collaboration with Georgia Stateand Georgia Institute of Technology called, LGBTQ+ Resilience in the Southeast during a Pandemic (RISE UP). Additionally, they are one of the leaders for Non-binary and Genderqueer Atlanta, a peer-led support group and organization for non-binary and gender expansive adults in Metro Atlanta. LGBTQ+ health and inclusivity are research interests of theirs and ones they are passionate about across public health. Andre isexcited to join this panel to share their experiences and input on diversity and inclusion for transgender and gender diverse students, faculty and staffto support inclusion at Georgia Stateand beyond.

Ari Villanueva
BSPH student

Ari Villanueva (they/them/theirs) is a fourth-year undergraduate student (BSPH) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham studying public health and a Masters of Public Health applicant interested in health behavior and access. They currently work as a health administration and public health Research Assistant at the Center for Health Organization Transformation (CHOT) and at the UAB Center for the Study of Community Health. Arialso serves as a co-organizer for Advocates for Youths Alabama Youth Activist Alliance, as the president and Vice President of reproductive justice student organizations, and as student organizer in the coalition UAB Students for Diversity and Campus Safety. Their research interests include queer health and reproductive justice for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. Their career goal is to diversify LGBTQ+ data, academic spacesand literary contributions as a Latine educator and researcher. Ari looks forward to participating in this panels conversations around trans and gender nonconforming student experiences.
