The virtual bilingual event includes nationally recognized keynote speakers, educational information sessions for middle and high school students, their parents, and the general public. Hands-on STEM workshops are available for schools and community organizations.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFor the first seven years, the fair was at the Georgia Tech Student Center. Hundreds of families, K-12 students, STEM professionals, college recruiters, and community partners could engage with one another in a shared space. Shifting to an all-virtual event this year, GoSTEM has an opportunity to bring hands-on activities directly to classrooms. Keynote presentations and information sessions are all open to the public in and beyond Georgia.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn Wednesday, March 17th, the keynote is speaker Dr. Jos\u0026eacute; Hern\u0026aacute;ndez. He will share his story of overcoming barriers to become one of the few Latinos to serve as an astronaut for the National Aeronautics and Space Association (\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/nasa.gov\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ENASA\u003C\/a\u003E).\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;Dr. Jos\u0026eacute; Hern\u0026aacute;ndez has an incredibly inspiring personal story that will resonate with everyone who hears it, especially young Latino students. Sometimes it\u0026#39;s challenging to see everything you could achieve if you just dream big enough and far enough. His story speaks to the power of hope, dedication, hard work, family, and Latino values,\u0026quot; said Diley Hern\u0026aacute;ndez, CEISMC senior research scientist and GoSTEM director.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u0026quot;Navigating the College Admissions and Financial Aid Process\u0026quot; information session is hosted by the Georgia Tech Hispanic Recruitment Team (\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/admission.gatech.edu\/hrt\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EHRT\u003C\/a\u003E). It will address common questions about college. Topics such as how to apply, what information students and parents need, and the different types of financial aid available to students will be covered. Speakers will engage individuals of all ages to educate participants about the college experience\u0026#39;s various aspects.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn the second day of the STEM fair, March 18th, the keynote speakers will be the Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning artists Milk+Sizz. They will discuss their music careers, their experience with Latino artists, and their experience making Latino urban music.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;We are extremely excited to have Atlanta\u0026#39;s own Milk+Sizz talk about their incredible, creative, and prolific career.
