Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering have been recognized as some of the most effective teachers at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/Cristi-Bell-Huff\u0022\u003ECristi Bell-Huff\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/Martin-Jacobson\u0022\u003EMartin Jacobson\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/James-Rains\u0022\u003EJames Rains\u003C\/a\u003E, and \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/James-Stubbs\u0022\u003EJames Stubbs\u003C\/a\u003E have won the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/ctl.gatech.edu\/faculty\/awards\/1940\u0022\u003EStudent Recognition of Excellence in Teaching: Class of 1934 Award \u003C\/a\u003Efor 2020. They\u0026rsquo;re among only 40 educators honored with the award this year, which is based on how students rate their instructors at the end of each term.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe award recognizes teaching for calendar year 2020. It\u0026rsquo;s based on how students rated instructors on their respect and concern for students, their level of enthusiasm about teaching the course, and their ability to stimulate students\u0026rsquo; interest in the course. It was formerly known as the Class of 1940 Course Survey Teaching Effectiveness Award.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBell-Huff was honored for teaching BMED 3310, Biotransport. Jacobson won for his work on BMED 2310, Intro to Biomedical Engineering Design.
