It is open to all Georgia Tech master\u0026rsquo;s and Ph.D. students, as well as postdoctoral scholars. \u200b\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.grad.gatech.edu\/career-research-and-innovation-development-conference-cridc\u0022\u003EMore information\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EArticle by Emma Ryan\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn Feb. 8-12, Georgia Tech will host the 2021 Career, Research, and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC), an annual event that offers graduate students the opportunity to network, attend panels, and participate in a career fair and poster competition.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;CRIDC has become a Georgia Tech tradition,\u0026rdquo; said Og\u0026uuml;n Kargin, a second-year graduate student in Aerospace Engineering and vice president of Professional Development for\u0026nbsp;the Graduate Student Government Association. \u0026ldquo;For the past 11 years, SGA has hosted this event to provide opportunities for graduate students to meet our industry partners, showcase their research, and hone their professional development skills. This year, our team is very excited to offer this event in a fully virtual format!\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHere are some highlights of the 2021 event:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/grad.gatech.edu\/cridc\/career-panels\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ECareer-related Panels\u003C\/a\u003E. Sessions include \u003Cem\u003EPhD2Consulting\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003EEntrepreneurship\u003C\/em\u003E, and \u003Cem\u003EDone With Grad School\u003C\/em\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EWhat\u0026rsquo;s Next?\u003C\/em\u003E,\u0026nbsp;as well as a series on diversity, inclusion, and ethics. The panels will be streamed online and preregistration is not required to attend.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/grad.gatech.edu\/cridc\/poster-competitions\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EPoster Competition\u003C\/a\u003E. This competition gives students the opportunity to present their research posters to a nontechnical audience. Winners receive a $1,500 professional development award, and the competition is open to all graduate students. The deadline to submit poster abstracts is Jan. 19.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/grad.gatech.edu\/cridc\/poster-competitions\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EInnovation Competition\u003C\/a\u003E. Sponsored by Tech\u0026rsquo;s VentureLab, the Innovation Competition awards cash prizes to the graduate students who make the best case for how their work might get to market and meet customer needs. The application for the competition is due Jan. 21.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/career.gatech.edu\/2021-ms-and-phd-cridc-virtual-career-fair\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMS and PhD CRIDC Virtual Career Fair.\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;To be held on Feb. 9, the career fair will offer students the opportunity to connect with\u0026nbsp;scientists interested in their work.
