Ellen Ernst Kossek (Ph.D., Yale University) is the Basil S. Turner Professor at Purdue University's Krannert School of Management and the first elected President of the Work­Family Researchers Network. Dr. Kossek studies how work­life boundaries and employment practices affect women's careers. Her research appears in top academic and management journals. She recently led the writing of a commissioned report for the National Academies of Science on the effects of COVID-19 for Women in Academic Science. Dr. Kossek is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. Her numerous awards include the Work- Life Legacy Award; the Ellen Galinsky Generative Researcher Award; and the Sage Scholarly achievement award from the Academy of Management's Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division.
