Applications Open Now for the SLS-France Program at Georgia Tech-Lorraine
Focused on sustainability, the Serve-Learn-Sustain (SLS) – France Program allows students at an intermediate level (FREN 2001) of French or above to dive deeper into French language and culture during their time at Georgia Tech-Lorraine. The program takes place on the Georgia Tech-Lorraine campus located in Metz, France, which is located in the heart of Europe: 45 minutes from Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium; 2 hours from Switzerland; and 1.5 hours from Paris.

The courses offered at Georgia Tech-Lorraine are taught by Georgia Tech professors and all course credits transfer back seamlessly. Students in the SLS-France Program will take two core French courses – one classroom-based and one community-based – as well as two targeted electives of their choice.

Then, taking learning beyond the classroom, the students will engage in service-learning projects in the Metz community. Each volunteering experience allows the students to interact with local French business owners and volunteers, practice their French, and aid in the region’s sustainability efforts.
