Housing Information

Current residents are not required to move out of their room during the semester break in December if they plan to reside on campus in the spring. Residents who will not return for spring semester should be prepared to move out of their room by 12 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

Residents who will graduate in December or intern, co-op, or study abroad in spring will need to cancel the spring semester of their contract using the Resources tab in My Housing. Those who petitioned to graduate have already been contacted by email with steps they need to take for their spring housing. Students who will intern, co-op, or study abroad should cancel their spring semester housing and submit an electronically signed Verification of Employment/Study Abroad form from your program advisor/coordinator.

For more information about move-out, visit housing.gatech.edu/move-out.

New Spring Housing Applicants
The Spring 2021 on-campus housing application remains open this month for new students or returning students who are not residing on campus this fall. Those who apply before November 17, 2020, are eligible to participate in the self-assignment process during November.

Self-assignment gives students the opportunity to select their own room. Those who choose not to participate in this process will be assigned to a room by our staff. The Application, and Self-assign steps can be accessed through My Housing. The Spring 2021 housing application will remain open after self-assignment, so if your student has not yet applied – it’s not too late!

New Spring Only 2021 housing applicants with a Georgia Tech on-campus room assignment for spring can use Room Swap to search for a room where another student is also interesting in swapping rooms.
