What are VCs looking for in a startup and how can you decide on a startup to invest in? Join Startup Exchange as we chat with Paul Willard, partner at Grep VC. Paul, a venture capitalist, has engaged in the startup world as both an employee and an investor. He will speak with us about choosing startups to both work for and invest in. Paul has a track record for investing in service robotics startups including companies like SpaceX, Zipline, and Boom. His current venture, Grep VC, seeks to increase the visibility of companies that are delivering improved services in physical products. As Paul might say, RaaS, or Robotics as a Service is the new SaaS.

Paul Willard is a Partner at Grep VC, an early stage venture capital fund focused on Robotics-as-a-Service and automation for enterprise. He has invested in companies including Zipline, Cobalt Robotics, Carta, Boom, and SpaceX. For 14 years, he was a product, design, and marketing executive at tech startups including Atlassian, Coupons.com, NextCard, and Practice Fusion. And before there were interwebs, he was an aerodynamics engineer at Boeing where he worked on Commercial and Military aircraft including autonomous aircraft.
