Faculty and students authored and\/or contributed to three articles.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAssociate Professor Lawrence Rubin served as guest editor for the special volume.\u0026nbsp;Articles were contributed by Associate Professor\u0026nbsp;Mariel Borowitz, Associate Professor\u0026nbsp;Margaret Kosal and Ph.D. student Maj. Brian Stewart. Distinguished Professors Adm.\u0026nbsp;(Ret.) Sandy Winnefeld and Gen.\u0026nbsp;(Ret.) Philip Breedlove were interviewed by Rubin for another feature in the issue.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;Examining the national security implications of emerging and disruptive technologies is extremely important and highly relevant today, a time when scientific and technological development outpaces policymaking,\u0026quot; Rubin said. \u0026quot;As an international affairs school within one of the world\u0026#39;s foremost technological universities, the Nunn School if well-positioned to contribute its expertise at the nexus of science, technology and international security policy.\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ERubin also expressed thanks to the FPRI,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EOrbis\u003C\/em\u003E, and Georgia Tech\u0026#39;s Executive Vice President for Research office.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBorowitz, Rubin, and Stewart co-authored a piece on how emerging satellite technologies could affect national security considerations, particularly in the absence of formal guidelines for the technology\u0026#39;s use.
