639211 news 1600357113 1600373810 <![CDATA[Ozkan and Shemyakina Named to Leading Women@Tech Cohort]]> Two Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts faculty and staff–Sebnem Özkan, associate director of the Atlanta Global Studies Center and Olga Shemyakina, associate professor in the School of Economics – have been named to the 2020-21 cohort of Leading Women@Tech, an Institute-level program that seeks to "engage women leaders who are in assistant/associate director-level positions and above at the Institute."

Leading Women@Tech, which Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion launched in March 2016, is a program that works to "create professional development opportunities for women leaders and build a community who will advance a culture of inclusive excellence at Georgia Tech," as well as "strengthen leadership ability, enhance personal and professional growth, and support overall career development of the participants."

Participants in the program participate in collaborative activites on a monthly basis and have the option to receive additional career coaching. 

Özkan and Arriaga form part of the 29-member cohort, which draws from organizations across campus. You can read more about Leading Women@Tech and find the participants' full bios here.
