Europe needed to rebuild shattered lives and economies - all the while a new menace, the USSR, surfaced in the East. In this three day symposium, experts will explore the end of the war on both the Eastern and Western fronts, the complicated rebuild process for Europe, the rise of the USSR, and the creation of NATO as the world plunged into the Cold War.
