  <title><![CDATA[Oliver Selected for the 2020-21 Emerging Leaders Program ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Associate Professor, <a href="https://econ.gatech.edu/people/person/matthew-oliver">Matthew Oliver</a>, has been selected for the 2020-2021 Emerging Leaders Program Cohort.</p>

<p>The Emerging Leaders Program was started in 2016 and is designed for associate and full professors who have attained tenure. The program is a collaboration between the Office of the Provost, the Institute for Leadership and Social Impact, and the Office of Graduate Education and Faculty Development.</p>

<p>Oliver&rsquo;s research interests focus primarily on the regulation of energy resources and energy infrastructure, particularly natural gas markets and interstate pipelines. His most recently published paper is how the&nbsp;&ldquo;<a href="https://www.iaee.org/en/publications/ejarticle.aspx?id=3405">Market Effects of Renewable Energy Penetration</a>&rdquo; Oliver also serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the School.</p>

<p>&quot;I am proud to represent the School of Economics in this year&#39;s ELP cohort. I look&nbsp;forward to what promises to be a rewarding experience with such outstanding faculty members from around Georgia Tech,&rdquo; said Oliver.</p>
