Kosal, associate professor in the Nunn School, is the founding director of the Military Fellows Program.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;She launched the program in 2014 with two US Army Fellows.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;To date, nine Military Fellows the US Army, US Air Force, and US Navy have spent a year at Georgia Tech.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe military fellows have responsibilities to engage with students and faculty (such as guest speakers), conduct independent research, and participate in various outreach activities.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026quot;The interaction that the fellows have with my colleagues and students is so important,\u0026quot; said Kosal. \u0026quot;For students who do not come from military families, this is often the first time they interact with anyone in the military 1-on-1. The magic happens when they aren\u0026#39;t just looking up to them because they are Lt Colonel or Commander so-\u0026amp;-so, but because they have gotten to know the person!\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech is among 13 premier academic and research institutions that host U.S. Navy Fellows.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;Among the others are Stanford\u0026#39;s Hoover Institution, Harvard\u0026#39;s Kennedy School of Government, Tufts University\u0026#39;s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, MIT\u0026#39;s Security Studies Program, Carnegie Mellon\u0026#39;s Institute for Politics and Strategy, RAND, and others.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;This is \u0026ldquo;elite company,\u0026rdquo; according to Professor Adam N.
