The Office of International Education

The Office of International Education (OIE) is working hard to prepare for the coming academic year in a new normal of social distancing and virtual events. We are updating content on the website for incoming students, working on virtual internship placements, and updating our Frequently Asked Questions for international students. There is so much information out there and a bit of uncertainty, so please encourage your student to schedule a virtual appointment if they have questions about study abroad or Global Research and Internship Placements.

We are excited to announce that the Global Leadership Living Learning Community has open spots available for incoming first-year students. The Global Leadership Living Learning Community helps students gain knowledge and skills, equipping them to problem-define and problem-solve in international and global contexts. Our community is a launching pad for students to access global opportunities at Tech. Global Leadership explores Atlanta as the line between global and local blurs. Students are able to travel the world without leaving the city of Atlanta by taking advantage of the rich resources and opportunities at their fingertips. Armed with a heightened awareness of cultural diversity and empathy, our community encourages students to maximize the impact of their formal education by learning more about the people around them. If this sounds like your student, we encourage them to apply today! If your student would like more information or they want to apply, reach out to Tyler Davis at tyler.davis@oie.gatech.edu.
