To interpret\u0026nbsp;such observations, accurate models for the absorption of the atmospheric constituents of\u0026nbsp;Venus are necessary. The objective of this research has been to further understanding of\u0026nbsp;the millimeter-wavelength spectrum of Venus. Laboratory measurements\u0026nbsp;have been made of the opacity of H2SO4\u0026nbsp;vapor under\u0026nbsp;simulated conditions of the lower\u0026nbsp;atmosphere of Venus. The results of these measurements and prior laboratory studies have\u0026nbsp;been used to derive a model for H2SO4\u0026nbsp;vapor opacity valid at frequencies below 150\u0026nbsp;GHz.
