Dr. Bedford is an Associate Member at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center\u0026nbsp;in the\u0026nbsp;Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division\u0026nbsp;and the\u0026nbsp;Computational Biology Program. He is also an Affiliate Associate Professor in the\u0026nbsp;Department of Genome Sciences\u0026nbsp;and the\u0026nbsp;Department of Epidemiology\u0026nbsp;at the\u0026nbsp;University of Washington.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe second talk will be presented by \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/biosciences.gatech.edu\/people\/joshua-weitz\u0022\u003EJoshua Weitz\u003C\/a\u003E on estimating outbreak strength and speed\u0026nbsp;in regards to the coronavirus. Dr. Weitz is a professor in the GT School of Biological Sciences and the director of the Georgia Tech Interdisciplinary PhD in Quantitative Biosciences.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe third talk focusing on viral replication and drug design will be presented by \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/Philip-Santangelo\u0022\u003EPhil Santangelo\u003C\/a\u003E, a professor in the Georgia Tech Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe forum is open to all and will take place in IBB 1128 on Monday, February 10th from 3:00 - 4:00PM,\u0026nbsp;with a\u0026nbsp;science networking session to follow from 4:00 - 4:30PM.
