Simon will explain how he uses TurningPoint to engage students in the classroom and to help manage part of the \u0026ldquo;assessment-for-learning\u0026rdquo; process used in TBL. Simon will also discuss the faculty and student experience of TBL and present some results from a recent study that demonstrates how active and collaborative learning has increased student engagement and narrowed the attainment gap for students of target equality groups.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETBL is a structured, student-centered learning and teaching strategy that takes a \u0026ldquo;flipped\u0026rdquo; approach to learning. It is designed to promote active, engaging and deeper approaches to learning through a process of preparation, testing and application of knowledge.
