Safety in the biological laboratory environment is an important mission of all research personnel at Georgia Tech. This course will discuss all the guidelines, regulations, and management practices for conducting and maintaining a safe laboratory environment when working with bloodborne pathogens. Topics covered include important definitions, routes of entry, major bloodborne pathogens, exposure control, and emergency response. Any person handling human blood or body fluids must take this training every year.
Who Should Attend? All current and prospective Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students that handle human blood and bodily fluids.
