  <title><![CDATA[Shatakshee Dhongde has been appointed as a Fellow with the Society for Economic Measurement. ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Associate Professor, Shatakshee Dhongde, has been appointed as a Fellow with the Society for Economic Measurement.&nbsp;The Society for Economic Measurement (SEM) promotes research on economic measurement, using advanced tools from economic theory, econometrics, aggregation theory, experimental economics, mathematics, and statistics.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dhongde has published several papers on measuring poverty, inequality, and multidimensional deprivation. Her research paper &ldquo;Well-being, Deprivation, and the Great Recession in the U.S.: A Study in a Multidimensional Framework,&rdquo; co-authored with P. Pattanaik and Y. Xu was published in the Review of Income and Wealth (2019). Previously, her article, &ldquo;Multi-dimensional Deprivation in the U.S &rdquo; co-authored with R. Haveman, in Social Indicators Research (2017) was the first to measure multidimensional poverty in the United States over a long period of time. She has presented her research at several national and international conferences including at the World Bank and the United Nations.</p>
