This work focusses on circuits (mainly coupled oscillators) composed of hysteretic insulator-metal-transition (IMT) devices. Such circuits can have complex dynamics at the network level which can be\u0026nbsp;used to emulate higher level functions than merely switches, logic gates or arithmetic operations.\u0026nbsp;Network level circuits of IMT devices and their dynamics are studied\u0026nbsp;across 3 levels - algorithms, dynamical\u0026nbsp;systems and circuits\/devices. Some computing models are proposed where the dynamics calculates and encodes solutions like analog subtraction, graph coloring and\u0026nbsp;matrix eigenvectors\u0026nbsp;in the steady state phases of coupled oscillator networks. The oscillator dynamics are equivalent to some spiking neuron models, and as such, this also forms a model of spike-time encoding of solutions.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Computing with Dynamical Systems: Bridging Device Technologies with Algorithms "}],"uid":"28475","created_gmt":"2019-11-20 21:50:48","changed_gmt":"2019-11-20 21:50:48","author":"Daniela Staiculescu","boilerplate_text":"","field_publication":"","field_article_url":"","field_event_time":{"event_time_start":"2019-12-03T15:00:00-05:00","event_time_end":"2019-12-03T17:00:00-05:00","event_time_end_last":"2019-12-03T17:00:00-05:00","gmt_time_start":"2019-12-03 20:00:00","gmt_time_end":"2019-12-03 22:00:00","gmt_time_end_last":"2019-12-03 22:00:00","rrule":null,"timezone":"America\/New_York"},"extras":[],"groups":[{"id":"434381","name":"ECE Ph.D. Dissertation Defenses"}],"categories":[],"keywords":[{"id":"100811","name":"Phd Defense"},{"id":"1808","name":"graduate students"}],"core_research_areas":[],"news_room_topics":[],"event_categories":[{"id":"1788","name":"Other\/Miscellaneous"}],"invited_audience":[{"id":"78771","name":"Public"}],"affiliations":[],"classification":[],"areas_of_expertise":[],"news_and_recent_appearances":[],"phone":[],"contact":[],"email":[],"slides":[],"orientation":[],"userdata":""}}}
