VIC 2010 brought together members of the design/build community, the healthcare industry, people with disabilities, aging in place advocates and governmental agencies to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to build synergy and identify opportunities for more inclusive design of products and spaces. By carefully examining and candidly discussing the issues surrounding inclusive housing and workplace solutions, barriers to mobility and adequate transportation, and community design that encourages recreational engagement across many levels of physical ability, the conference was designed to positively impact future development of architecture and urban design.
