Organized by the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/anitab.org\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EAnita Borg Institute for Women and Technology\u003C\/a\u003E and the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.acm.org\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EAssociation for Computing Machinery\u003C\/a\u003E, GHC brings together industry leaders, pioneering academics, and students for keynotes, technical and career development panels, mentoring sessions, and a career fair.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWith scholarships provided by the College, 36 undergraduate students, 18 master\u0026rsquo;s students, 2 Ph.D. students, and 24 \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.omscs.gatech.edu\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EOnline Master of Science in Computer Science (OMSCS)\u003C\/a\u003E students attended.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFaculty also joined, including \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.ic.gatech.edu\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ESchool of Interactive Computing\u003C\/a\u003E (IC) Chair \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.ic.gatech.edu\/people\/ayanna-howard\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EAyanna Howard\u003C\/a\u003E \u003C\/strong\u003Eand IC Senior Research Scientist \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/people\/carrie-bruce\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ECarrie Bruce\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E. Howard led mentoring sessions and moderated a panel on design inclusion in artificial intelligence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECollege staff from \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/student-life\/gt-computing-community\/oec-office\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Ethe Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community\u003C\/a\u003E hosted a recruiting booth at the career fair as a gold-level sponsor of the conference.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAlthough many students come to find internship and job opportunities, one of the conference\u0026rsquo;s strongest attractions for attendees is the community it provides.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/niazpour.weebly.com\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ENiaz Pour\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E, a third-year computational media student, believed seeing different examples of what women do in the field could influence her career in user experience (UX) design.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I really wanted to see the diversity of women in computing,\u0026rdquo; she said. \u0026ldquo;I don\u0026rsquo;t want to work somewhere that\u0026rsquo;s only designers.
