Despite theories about organizations containing multiple levels of culture (Chao, 2000), most studies of organizational culture have only focused on one level at a time (Chatman \u0026amp; O\u0026rsquo;Reilly, 2016). To address these gaps, I will measure health culture at the team and department level in a midsized, multinational organization (\u003Cem\u003EN\u003Csub\u003EEmp.\u003C\/sub\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E = 1200, \u003Cem\u003EN\u003Csub\u003ETeams\u003C\/sub\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E = ~150, \u003Cem\u003EN\u003Csub\u003EDept. \u003C\/sub\u003E=\u003C\/em\u003E ~40) to predict employees\u0026rsquo; diet, physical activity, alcohol consumption, and smoking behaviors. In addition, I will extend previous research (Sonnentag et al., 2017) to show how employee\u0026rsquo;s health motivation mediates the effects of health culture on their health behaviors. This dissertation also examines how employees\u0026rsquo; fit with their health culture affects their engagement and job satisfaction. This prospectus makes a number of novel contributions to the literature.
