Researchers are working with the Bill \u0026amp; Melinda Gates Foundation \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/rh.gatech.edu\/news\/623756\/reinvented-toilets-could-provide-safe-sanitation-25-billion-people\u0022\u003Eto reinvent the toilet \u003C\/a\u003E\u0026mdash; technology that hasn\u0026rsquo;t changed much in more than a century \u0026mdash; which could provide safe sanitation to 2.5 billion people. Georgia Tech is also opening the doors to \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/livingbuilding.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EThe Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design\u003C\/a\u003E this fall. It will be\u0026nbsp;the most environmentally advanced education and research building ever constructed in the Southeast. And Tech\u0026#39;s \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/globalchange.gatech.edu\u0022\u003EGlobal Change Program\u003C\/a\u003E seeks to train a new generation of leaders who are equipped to pursue solutions to a host of interconnected challenges such as climate change, environmental pollution, water resources, human health, and affordable, clean energy.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech is also a partner in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/serve-learn-sustain.gatech.edu\/rce-greater-atlanta\u0022\u003ERegional Center of Expertise (RCE) for Greater Atlanta\u003C\/a\u003E, a\u0026nbsp;sustainability network that supports implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the regional level through education and training. The designation makes Atlanta one of only seven\u0026nbsp;RCEs in the U.S. and 168\u0026nbsp;worldwide.
