This talk will summarize recent discussions of how to deter terrorists and WMD-armed rogue states, showing how a broadening of deterrence has already begun.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EJeffrey W. Knopf is associate professor of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. He has also taught at the University of Southern California and at UC-Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the faculty at NPS, Dr. Knopf worked at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he served as editor of the Nonproliferation Review. Dr. Knopf received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University. He is the author of Domestic Society and International Cooperation: The Impact of Protest on U.S. Arms Control Policy, as well as numerous articles and book chapters.
