{"623956":{"#nid":"623956","#data":{"type":"event","title":"CANCELED: 2020 Tower Awards","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Office of the Vice President for Institute Diversity and OMED: Educational Services will be hosting the 26th Annual Tower Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 2, 2020.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis annual celebration is sponsored by OMED: Educational Services to recognize the academic excellence achieved by historically underrepresented students (African American, Hispanic, Native American, and Multi-Racial) at the Georgia Institute of Technology.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn this evening, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and corporate supporters come together to celebrate the talents and accomplishments of over 300 students.\u0026nbsp; Students selected for recognition have achieved and maintained a high level of academic excellence representative of the Georgia Institute of Technology\u0026rsquo;s vision for Inclusive Excellence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMembers of the OMED: Educational Services staff have supported many of these students throughout the year providing an array of personal and professional academic support, mentoring, summer bridge, and career success support programs. The staff applauds the hard work, dedication and integrity of these students, and is proud to sponsor this Institute celebration of academic excellence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe event is invitation only and will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.
