  <title><![CDATA[Framing Shadows / Framing Lives]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Thursday, May 8, from 6&ndash;8:30 p.m.</p>

<p>Mary Schmidt Campbell, PhD, president of Spellman College, the country&#39;s leading liberal arts college for black women,&nbsp;and Kimberly Wallace-Sanders, PhD, associate professor of American Studies and African American Studies in Emory&#39;s department of African American Studies,&nbsp;will talk about their shared interests in African American photography and African American cultural studies.</p>

<p>This program was inspired by the &quot;Framing Shadows&quot; exhibition curated by Wallace-Sanders. In display though Dec. 31, it offers insight into the experiences of the largely anonymous 19th and early 20th century African Americans who served as child care providers for white families.</p>
