The course is structured around Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s Impact Speaker Series. During the weeks when there is a speaker the class consists of attending the talks, with the remaining four class meetings focused on discussing key leadership concepts and summarizing the lessons learned from the series.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EEach semester the Impact provides students an opportunity to hear from 10 organizational leaders from various sectors of the economy. Past speakers include: CEO\u0026rsquo;s, Presidents, and high level executives from WalMart, The Home Depot, NCR, Georgia Pacific, Goodwill Industries, Hands on Atlanta, Children\u0026rsquo;s Healthcare of Atlanta, as well as successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. The talks focus on organizational opportunities and challenges relating to leadership, innovation, sustainability, CSR, organizational effectiveness, and implementing change.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe course allows students to:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EExplore the concept of leadership across a range of environments.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ELeverage and expand the content of the speaker series and apply the learnings to their future careers, and their role and impact within their future organizations.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EInvestigate, reflect upon, and develop key knowledge and skills for exercising leadership and managing relationships. Examples of these competencies include: self-awareness; critical-thinking; communication; leadership; teamwork; change management.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents will be evaluated on their participation during the Impact talks and weekly reflection posts and will be required to read a book and connect the main topics of the book with some of the overarching themes in the Impact talks.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Organizational Leadership Speaker Forum is a 1 credit course structured around Georgia Tech\u2019s Impact Speaker Series.
