Basic epidemiologic concepts including how best to answer a scientific question, consider causality, and conduct research of high impact to the population will be discussed.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBio:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Rachel Patzer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine, with joint appointment in the department of epidemiology in the Rollins School of Public Health. She has a PhD and MPH in epidemiology from Emory University. She is also the director of the newly formed Health Services Research Center at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Patzer is a health services researcher whose investigations focus on healthcare access, quality of healthcare delivery, and healthcare outcomes.
