{"620112":{"#nid":"620112","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Adele Douglin Wins 2019 Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award ","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EWe are pleased to announce that the Ivan Allen College Student Advisory Board has selected Adele Douglin (ML-Spanish) to receive the 2019 Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award in the non-tenured category.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe prize consists of $1,000 and a very nice medal which will be presented by Lucy Groves, a member of the Student Advisory Board, at the college-wide meeting and awards ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, from 11:30 to 1:00, in the Gordy Room of the Wardlaw Center.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAd\u0026egrave;le Douglin is a GLACT Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Modern Languages. She received her PhD in Foreign Language Education with a concentration in teaching Spanish as a second language from The University of Texas at Austin in May of 2017. Her research focus includes Second Language Acquisition, Spanish Linguistics, and students\u0026rsquo; interactions while studying abroad and the effects language acquisition. These interests are reflected in her dissertation,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EWhat Really Happens During Study Abroad?
