ISyE Seminar Series - NEOS: OPTIMIZATION SOLUTIONS FOR SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING
Primary tabs
Started in 1995 as a research project for developing a prototype problem-solving environment, the NEOS Server for Optimization has evolved into a collaborative research project by the optimization community. Usuage of the NEOS Server has grown steadily as new algorithms and facilities are added, and now averages over 5,000 job submissions per month. Research issues include performance, scheduling, interfaces, automatic differentiation, mathematical programming languages, and distributed computing. In this talk we describe the current status of the NEOS Server and current research in developing interfaces and benchmarking guidelines.
