BME Whitaker Building/Ferst Drive Sidewalk and Lane Closures

To enable the replacement of electrical switches located in an underground vault on the southern side of the BME Whitaker Building, there will be a sidewalk closure and periodic lane closures along Ferst Drive from 8 a.m through 5 p.m. until Friday, February 22.

A sidewalk closure from the entrance of BME Whitaker to the crosswalk accessing the drive between Cherry Emerson and Klaus is required between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday, February 11 to Friday, February 22. The fencing and sidewalk closure signs will be removed at the end of each shift so normal pedestrian access can be restored during evening hours.

In addition to the sidewalk closure, the east bound lane of traffic will be periodically closed. With these lane closures, the contractor will provide flagmen to keep traffic moving safely along Ferst Drive. These lane closures will be scheduled for early morning hours as much as possible to minimize disruptions.
