616896 event 1548439847 1548439847 <![CDATA[Preparing a Poster Session]]> In this workshop, we will discuss strategies for creating academic posters, focusing on design elements, and for presenting posters (at conferences, in competitions, etc.). There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will better understand how different visual elements combine to make a poster clearer or more confusing, how to prioritize information for the space allotted in a poster, and how to succinctly discuss your research in a poster presentation.

This workshop is directed towards graduate students. Postdocs are welcome as walk-ins as space allows.
