TLI Seminar :: Defense Distribution and Operational Logistics Support

COL Visker recently returned from deployment to Kuwait, where he has helped manage key supply chains supporting US action in Iraq and Afghanistan. He will tell us about the challenges of military logistics, especially in time of war.

Colonel Visker, a native of Albany, NY, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps upon graduation from Siena College, where he was a distinguished military graduate in 1979. At the same time he was awarded a bachelors degree in Banking and Finance. He also holds a Masters of Science in Systems Management (Logistics) from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Science in Strategy from the US Army War College.

Prior to his arrival at the CENTCOM DDOC and the San Joaquin Distribution Center, Colonel Visker commanded the 55th Theater Material Management Center at Camp Henry, South Korea. In other previous assignments he commanded Defense Distribution Depot Anniston, AL; held joint duty assignments with Special Operations Command Central (Airborne), MacDill AFB, FL where he was the Headquarters Commandant and Director of Logistics, J4. At Fort Bragg, NC; he was the Chief of Logistics Plans with the 1st Corps Support Command (Airborne) and Executive Officer of the 264th Corps Support Battalion. Colonel Visker also served as the Supervising Contracting Officer for the Defense Logistics Agency
