{"61494":{"#nid":"61494","#data":{"type":"event","title":"FutureMedia Fest Closing Keynote","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe closing keynote for FutureMedia Fest 2010 are two Academy Award-winning digital effects experts Richard Baneham and Matt Madden (\u0022Avatar\u0022). \n\n\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Ch4\u003EAbout the Speakers:\n\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ERichard Baneham\u003C\/strong\u003E is an Academy Award and BAFTA winner for Best Visual Effects for his work as the Animation Supervisor on \u201cAvatar\u201d. He worked closely with the actors and their performances to try to produce a CG performance that evoked the full emotional range and idiosyncratic nuances of the actor\u2019s performance. Richie also worked as an Animation Supervisor on \u201cLord of the Rings,\u201d \u0022The Two Towers\u0022 and \u0022The Return of the King\u0022 where he was involved in the character of Gollum working with Actor Andy Serkis. His body of work also includes; \u201cThe Chronicles of Narnia\u201d; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and \u201cCats and Dogs\u201d which was one of the earliest examples of a fully integrated CG character. \n\n\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMatt Madden \u003C\/strong\u003Eis Vice President of Production \u0026amp; Development for Giant Studio. Widely recognized and acknowledged to be the industry leader in Performance Capture based technology and Virtual Production services, Mr. Madden and the accomplishments of his team were recognized in 2005 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with a Technical Achievement Academy Award.
