<p><strong>Abstract of Talk: </strong><br />
Eaton and other companies in the lighting and power utility industries are transitioning to focus on technology and data. This talk explores how IoT is changing traditional industries through innovative sensing and data acquisition.<br />
<br />
<strong>Biographical Sketch of the Speaker:</strong><br />
Harold Allen graduated from Georgia Tech in 2007 with a Bachelor&rsquo;s in Computer Engineering. He worked in the power transmission switching industry developing line-mounted wireless sensors deployed on 72kV-245kV transmission lines. He joined Eaton Lighting in 2016 to develop connected lighting control systems including the WaveLinx system. Mr. Allen is now an Engineering Manager leading a team of firmware developers bringing lighting control and connectivity to commercial and industrial applications by integrating advanced wireless and sensing technologies within light fixtures.</p>
