SCL will collaborate\u0026nbsp;with Georgia Tech\u0026nbsp;Professional Education to develop\u0026nbsp;and deliver\u0026nbsp;a multi-year Workforce Development initiative. The program will entail classroom training (at Georgia Tech and Marine operations) as well as online classes. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAnother thread addresses the need to design and implement advanced techniques in: (i) maintenance scheduling and operations; and (ii) inventory management, storage, and distribution. A team consisting of SCL professors Christos Alexopoulos, John-Paul Clarke, Dave Goldsman, Pinar Keskinocak, and Leon McGinnis will collaborate on the effort which will initially focus on depot activities and later grow to span the supply chain. The 6-month first phase will focus on creating a baseline workflow model to serve as basis on which to focus process improvement efforts.
