Her ScienceMatters prize is in the mail!\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;I listen to ScienceMatters on my commute to work while I ride the Metro,\u0026quot; Wittling says.\u0026quot;I have listened to four episode so far, and love it!\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWittling hails from Johns Creek, Georgia. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology, with a minor in Health and Medical Sciences. After graduation, she went for an \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/orise.orau.gov\/fda\/\u0022\u003EORISE Research Fellowship at FDA\u003C\/a\u003E, while she applies to MD and MD\/PhD programs.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAs an undergrad, Wittling conducted research in the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/kanfer-ackerman.gatech.edu\/about\u0022\u003EPARK Lab\u003C\/a\u003E of the School of Psychology under the guidance of \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/psychology.gatech.edu\/phillip-ackerman\u0022\u003EPhillip Ackerman\u003C\/a\u003E. The lab\u0026#39;s research spans\u0026nbsp;cognitive, aging, personality, social,\u0026nbsp;and applied psychology\u0026nbsp;domains.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFrom there, Wittling moved to the lab of \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/petitinstitute.gatech.edu\/shuyi-nie\u0022\u003EShuyi Nie\u003C\/a\u003E, an assistant professor in the School of Biological Sciences and a member of the Parker H. Petit Institute of Bioengineering and Bioscience. A \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.rh.gatech.edu\/news\/531051\/childrens-investing-future\u0022\u003EPetit Undergraduate Research Scholar Award \u003C\/a\u003Emade the transfer possible.
