<![CDATA[In Industrial Design, Together We Carve ... Pumpkins!]]>
First-year students in the School of Industrial Design will design and carve pumpkins in the School's 3rd annual Pumpkin Ramble. But these will not be ghouls.
They will be works of art inspired by famous designers.
Over two days students will work in teams and individually to complete their projects.
While this event is designed to be fun, it also encompasses learning. Students will perform material analysis and do research, among other objectives.
They will display their creations on the Architecture West Lawn starting at 2 p.m.
From 2-7:30 p.m., visitors and spectators will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite pumpkin, or pumpkins, with a quarter or more. "Best in Show" winner will be announced at 8 p.m.
But be sure to stick around to see the designs after dark when they are illuminated with tea lights!
The student chapter of IDSA will offer refreshments and games.
So come join the fun!
