Break Camp is a day camp offered for 1st through 8th grade children whose parents are a part of the Georgia Tech community. By offering camp when children are out of school, Tech Wreck Break Camp provides Georgia Tech employees and graduate students an affordable alternative to taking a vacation or sick day to care for their children.

But, Tech Wreck is definitely not just for the parents. The camp gives the kids an opportunity to get out of the house and make new friends, play sports, and engage in other fun activities. “With access to Georgia Tech’s Campus Recreation Center (CRC), Tech Wreck offers a wide variety of activities for campers to choose from,” said Kyra Stomapanato, a fourth-year student who has worked for the camp as a counselor. “In addition, campers have the option to participate in pool time at the CRC’s Crawford pool.” Beyond swimming and sports, the camp also includes board games and arts and crafts activities. Each day the children are provided with a lunch and an afternoon snack. 

Tech Wreck Break Camp is a great opportunity for both Georgia Tech parents and their children. Parents can save a vacation day and rest assured knowing their kids are safe and having fun, while the kids get to experience Georgia Tech in an exciting and friendly environment.

Break Camp is six, one-day sessions. The dates for this academic year are:

• November 19^th
• November 20^th
• January 2^nd
• January 3^rd
• January 4^th
•  February 18^th

Registration opens October 24^th at 7:00 p.m. Camp runs from 7:45 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is located at the CRC. Thanksgiving week dates tend to fill up quickly, so make sure to sign up your child(ren) fast!
