  <title><![CDATA[Enjoy Fall Break in Atlanta]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Classes will not meet Oct. 8&ndash;9 for fall break. Students staying on campus have plenty of ways to enjoy the break at Tech or around Atlanta.</p>

<h3>Sporting Events</h3>

<h4>Baseball</h4>

<p>Georgia Tech Baseball hosts <a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/612217">an exhibition game</a> against South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at Russ Chandler Stadium. Admission is free for all attendees.</p>

<h4>Football</h4>

<p>Start your fall break by cheering on the Yellow Jackets as they take on the University of Louisville Cardinals on Friday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN, so gather friends, food, and school spirit to celebrate the start of break.</p>

<h4>Soccer</h4>

<p>Head out to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to watch Atlanta United FC take on the New England Revolution at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. <h3>Festivals</h3>

<p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/264232140861680/">Oktoberfest in Piedmont Park</a> will be held Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 11 p.m. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Tickets cost $20 and include admission, food, and drinks. They can be purchased <a href="https://www.bigtickets.com/e/parktavern/Oktoberfest2018">here</a>.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/209663103131030/">ATL CluckFest 2018 Fried Chicken Festival</a> will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Candler Park. The event will feature more than 25 restaurants battling for the title of Atlanta&rsquo;s best fried chicken. Tickets cost $15, if <a href="https://www.freshtix.com/events/atl-cluckfest-2018-fried-chicken-festival">purchased in advance</a>, or $25 at the door.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/688153201538402/">Atlanta International Night Market</a> will be held Oct. 5 &ndash; 7 at North Point Mall in Alpharetta. The Atlanta International Night Market is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing people together to celebrate culture, community, and international cuisine. Tickets cost $10 at the door or can be purchased for $7 <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/atlanta-international-night-market-tickets-46720135182?aff=efbeventtix">in advance. </a></p>

<p><a href="https://www.stonemountainpark.com/Events/Pumpkin-Festival">Stone Mountain Park&rsquo;s annual Pumpkin Festival</a> will be held through Oct. 28. The festival includes attractions, games, carved jack-o-lanterns, and more. Access to the festival is included with a daily pass to Stone Mountain, which can be purchased <a href="https://store.stonemountainpark.com/tickets/buy-tickets.aspx">here</a>.</p>

<h3>&nbsp;Activities</h3>

<p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/174338579868194/?event_time_id=220345088600876">Yoga in the Park</a> will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark. This event is free, but arrive early to secure a spot on the field. Yoga in the Park occurs every Tuesday in October, so check it out another week if you&rsquo;re unable to attend during fall break.</p>

<p>Enjoy the outdoors with a leisurely bike ride around the city. Bicycles can be rented through <a href="http://relaybikeshare.com/">Relay Bike Share</a>, the <a href="http://atlbikebarn.com/">Atlanta Bicycle Barn</a> (near the Eastside BeltLine Trail at Irwin Street), or <a href="http://skateescape.com/site/">Skate Escape</a> (near Piedmont Park at 12<sup>th</sup> Street).</p>

<h3>Music and Arts</h3>

<p>Complete the &ldquo;Atlanta Wall Crawl&rdquo; by visiting some of Atlanta&rsquo;s murals and public street art. Check out the Krog Street Tunnel, BeltLine Eastside Trail, or Inman Park for beautiful, free art and great photo opportunities.</p>

<p>The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will play the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/148389749062145/?event_time_id=148389755728811">Harry Potter Film Concert Series</a> from Oct. 5 &ndash; 7. The concert includes the score from <em>Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets</em> while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen. <h3>Atlanta Trademarks</h3>

<p>Use fall break to check out some of Atlanta&rsquo;s most popular attractions like the <a href="https://www.worldofcoca-cola.com/">World of Coca-Cola</a>, which is offering $10 admission to Georgia Tech students through Oct. 10. Bring your BuzzCard for discounted admission.</p>
