Dr. Stacey Dixon will focus her talk on examples from Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) research to highlight and discuss the following questions:
Dr. Stacey Dixon is the newly appointed Director for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), having served as Deputy Director since January 2016. Previously she served the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as Deputy
Director of Research and as Chief of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. She has worked on the U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee
on Intelligence (HPSCI) staff, and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)’s Advanced Systems and Technology Directorate as a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer.
Dr. Dixon holds doctorate and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering
from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. She was a chemical engineering postdoctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota.
